Journal Entry 004: I Am Still Worthy If I’m Not Funny Today
I used to think humor made me palatable.
That if I made them laugh, they wouldn’t notice how tired I was.
That my softness could be tolerated
as long as I packaged it in a punchline. But today, I didn’t feel like being funny.
And I still showed up.
And I still did the work.
And I still mattered. You don’t have to smile your way through survival.
Some days, your worth gets to walk in silent —
and still be the loudest thing in the room.
🖋 Question:
What part of you have you been using to cover up your exhaustion?
Who are you — when you let the mask fall and still stay in the room?
